Lost Rhyme Of My Future

...

Lost Rhyme of My Future

A storm has escaped the prisons of reality
Come o beloved let’s meet, abducting eternity

[Like the silence that lurked in the street
As the first swish of serendipity passed by
Taking away light from each house of greed
And leaving behind an abyss without an alibi]

Where can I find your being?
I find your presence everywhere

At times;

I see a beautiful stranger in my reflection
An inaudible laughter reaches my core
An invisible caress takes away my pain
I see colors in a black and white frame
Exquisite warmth chills me to the bones,
I walk away from my house in search of a home

Tonight, naked I shall walk
On this damp earth that just lost its virginity
Feeling the wetness of the sky
Tasting its sweetness
With my hands held high
And my head upturned
Eyes closed searching my insides
I’ll search six feet under
I’ll search each hole in heaven asunder

In search of you
To complete myself
In search of my reality
And get out of this perpetual dejavu

Tonight I’ll welcome the ghosts of my past
Tonight I’ll read my own cards
Tonight I’ll walk without my couture
Tonight I’ll lust the present’s heaving breasts
Tonight I’ll search all dimensions and transgress
To find the lost rhyme of my future

Your Birthday Gift

Your birthday gift

I stand with an upturned lip
I stare at my slanting feet
I thought I’ll give you the best gift
Alas! I feel lost in the mist

Of broken smiles and powdered faces
Of compressed sighs and shackled graces

And a tear trickles down my glazed eyes
Leaving a trail of charred cries

It lurks in a corner
I wait to take it back with me
It’s invisible among tinsel wrappers
And glitter of fashionable philosophy

I had thought I’ll give you the best gift
But then the child in me is cruel indeed

No one told me what you like
Honestly I did not care inside
I painted a face
As I see yours in an embrace
Marveling at its accuracy
I completely forgot its utility

Now I feel ashamed
Something in me has been unwillingly framed
If only I had thought
What would appeal and what not
My gift would have starred
This movie starring labels of all sorts

But does it count?
What matters? My reality or your frown
I only wanted to give you the best gift
Now I take it back, away from such intricacies
...

Twisted

....

My smile froze as I looked at you

Instead of a freshness of reason

I saw a blind old man

Bent with pain, blind with repulsion

Hate came from your eyes

Malice from your words

And I saw crimson fumes

Coming from your heart’s hearth

Will you hurt to heal your wounds?

Will you be the one to run?

Will you throw away what you have

For what you did not earn?

Do you seek pleasure from love?

Is it a one ended sword to you?

Whatever you think it is

Ignorance will neither hurt nor heal you

Where is your amorphousness?

Where is that soldier?

Did he choose to hide,

Now that the battle's affecting his life?

Harvesting our Inheritance

....................................
Harvesting Our Inheritance

Plowing the land they fought
Sustaining the drought
Sowing a seed they sought
A revolution of thought

As hands they were diverse
United by a single purpose
Sealing a dream in seed of time
Striving for freedom of mind

They did not sell their pride
For a role in caged limelight
They sowed the seed in a fence
Protecting it for independence

But the fence became a creed
The minerals sucked by weed
Unable to germinate in need
Buried in soil slept the seed

The tillers lost their existence
In time making a difference
The plowed land is in reminiscence
Of their effort as our inheritance

Our task as farmers is to unfold
A revolution not green but gold
Reaping the dream they sowed
Harvesting a fenceless abode

A Horcrux

...............................................................................................

Battered eyes spoke of a farewell
Of innocence departed in reminiscence
I saw in them merciless beating of desire
Tortured to chastity of immaculate coldness

In a scurry with rats
She and her ethics lost their matrimony
And since then she became ugly
Having auctioned her feelings to purple liquidity

As I observed more, I saw
Dried tears in a kerchief
And blotted letters of love boasting of her obstinacy
Her voice was similar to a fake orgasm moaning of ecstasy

I witnessed death as cold and hard as life
I witnessed life that’s no more than death
Her eyes of a still born were carried very well
Her crooked smile still managed to cast its spell

Each night she stripped of her soul
Folded it and kept it safe
As she got ready to suck, (suck until no more aware)
Desires of different tastes excreting their wares

As a new hardness explored her softness
Greedily counting the worth of her act
And in the morning packed with dried semen
She was thrown with the other things in a plastic bag

I saw her horcrux writhe in pain
As at dawn she tried to attach her soul back again
She had become a shadow without a name
But everyone knew her womb’s exact depth and fame

Veritaserum

Water and smoke
A white Light
A grey cloak

Gravity redefines
I just sit in prose
Devoid of a home

To you it's madness
For me meditation

For you it’s unethical
For me my religion

For you it’s unnatural
For me my purgation

That which seems complete
For me is never enough

Teleporter

A crimson face
A yellowish glow
I stand unperturbed
But not for long
As a glare finds my window

It captivates
I look aghast
It swallows
As kilometers melt
Differences shrink destiny’s mast

A wave of hope
Splashes across my wall
Something knocks
I open my heart
And answer a call

Drenched
In the moonlight
An eye smiles
One bleeds
Another face in celluloid

Nothing moves
Nothing dies
I stand unperturbed
Someone finds love
Other an alibi

A Diary of Blank Prose

...................................................

An unsung song
A blank prose
A newspaper headline
A dried rose

[Lost in vain]

A dog-eared book
A tamarind stain
A layer of dust
A broken toy train

[Start to fade]

A black overcoat
A creaking chair
A blackened silver ring
Two incomplete lines completely unaware

[Turn jade]

Nostalgia creeps
On my core
Numbed,
I am suddenly cold

Two lips tremble
A tear escapes
To spoil the dust

An unheard sob
A suppressed sigh gathers a storm

Words get dry by the day
Start flaking
But bear the Fall
As the sky still weeps each frost

The two incomplete lines
Fading to grey
Have their fate entwined
In an end, hoping to not lose their rhyme

9.7.07

A Completely Broken Line

.................................

A slow sound

Lacking the intensity of volume

But not of pace

Ironies in an equation

I try to save my grace

Random words

Abstracts in making

What I feel is it reverberating

Depths and depths

Lay in their shallowness

And I wait to ignite

The light in darkness

Something waits

A due I have to pay

A destination with no places

Away from a crowd of no faces

Confusion bathes me

Of clarity and focus

I look around

And see myself bound

By ties of broken threads

It’s a quest I have to tread

I see an end

And find a beginning

Left in the unforgiving forgiveness

I gather the humming words

From where they should not exist

Maybe one day I’ll make a sense of all this

I bear the burden

Of nothing in levity

I smile at this sorrow

This wont be there tomorrow

What will remain is the sound

That goes on as silence mounts

I shriek aloud a muted stare

Happiness gives way to despair

My emptiness is feeding on me

And I watch all this ringing a melody

Its raining outside

And I want to feel it

Rather than finding myself in this apology

An inkling of ink

my pen today is overwhelmed
wishes to kiss this paper
pouring the blue poison of feelings
carving a monument of small things

pondering over its life
wondering whether its a lie
or maybe its just my smile
that is complete in this while

thinking about you
i wonder if you are feeling this too
but i know its true
as this dance continues

getting lost again and again
scared of the obvious pain
yet not escaping the domain
where we redefine all thats insane

what is it that we share
what is it that's not there
that i reach the road's end
but still many ways emerge and blend

i complete a line
but so much is left out in time
each walk seems like a pilgrimage
where we meet with divine grace

meditating in each other's hearts' shrine
embracing the gods that in us reside
these are just my lines
you have your own rhyme

but is it not that your pen's flick
touches paper with the same love's ink?

There’s no return to innocence

Again and again
You slam the door
Again and again
I knock and bring you out once more

Why I come and why I leave
Why I hate and still believe
Why you care and why you don’t
Are some of the things that are unknown

You laugh and I cry
You don’t even know when I die
You come and kiss me
Bringing back the life in me
But what has died
Never is alive
You know it but still you play assassin nine

I murder too
When I really want to
But only what’s in me
Punishing you for this felony

My wounds never heal
They act like a seal
Never again I want you to invade
What you scraped leaving me to bleed in vain

Never again will I love you
If you don’t care that I hate you
And what reason then will I have to hate you
Stab but then don’t feel bad
You don’t deserve what I no more have

If that’s coz of you I cry
And its coz of you that I am dry
But once dry I’ll never have the same cry
And that will be a final end
You are right I don’t understand
But then do you really stand

Can’t believe I love you
Or maybe it’s not really true
But since I felt it
I am living it through
Till when that’s only up to you
To grow is what’s left to do
And that we can’t undo

In an instant a caress turns to fondling
Why do you have to keep me struggling?
I am glad that you happened to me
But then stop strangling the child in me
Don’t make me grow so fast
I have shown you my innocence
Don’t try to make it my past

Somebody please ask Hamlet to mind his own business….

I was taking a stroll on a clear night,
My fantasy at an all time high,
The inviting horizon,
The irresistible temptation,
Yearning for the white noise,
Wondering why are Hamlet’s words,
Diminishing the high’s intent,
Frustrated I was forced to think,
Standing at the brink,
(Just one step and I outwit all
And one step behind, no difference at all)
The thumping brain was boggled,
(Maybe by the altitude)
But the ghosts of my past appeared
In front of me as they thought I needed help.
I laughed at their concern,
And they at mine,
(Huh! It’s puzzling business, this life).
Anyway, so now when I was intruded,
I tried my best to be not annoyed.
This is what they told me-
(For some reason the effect of the grass left me
And I again felt grass beneath my feet)
The Science teacher said-“it’s not a game of dice”.
The Economics teacher said-“there’s monopoly”.
The English teacher quoted Robert Frost.
The Maths teacher-“it’s all in the Zero”.
The Arts teacher showed me a balance,
And said-“justice is blind but God is not”.
The school priest said-“let there be light’.
The principal however stayed silent
And said you need a break.
Then they all disappeared one by one.
And again Hamlet returned to disturb me.
I told him that the void in me needed essence,
Or else it would swallow me.
He smiled and said-
“To be or not to be”, and fled
But something made me step back,
As I felt giddy,
The noise had colour now,
Dawn was peeping in,
I got up, dusted my pants off dirt.
My eyes were wet (might be the dew)
But my brain no more numb
(The quality of grass, I doubt)
Though I felt my back tied to something.
I shrugged and said maybe I had a drink too much.
I wanted to sit now as my heart felt heavy or maybe complete.
So I returned back and slept dreamlessly with a smile.
When I woke up my eyes had a fire;
A dream and a desire,
When I thought of the previous night’s trance,
It was Hamlet’s fault, I knew at once.

20.4.07

Option, perception or a realization

I see shreds
Of me
Flying away

I know I can’t
Be silent
And watch them stray

And I also know
I can’t choose
And but one let them loose

I try
Sewing up
The rest

But they turn smaller
And smaller
To thwart my quest

So I build
A shield around me
But it doesn’t pass the test

I gather
The autumn leaves
To find some glue

But all I find
Is tired
Dusty dew

So I let them go
As far as
They can fall

After the horizon
Coming and going would make
No difference at all
